Romardo's 325 sq.km. Carron Gold Project (EPM25882) is optioned to Inflection Resources. The project is located just NW of the Croydon Goldfield (~1 Moz gold + ~1 Moz silver historic production) and considered a semi-brownfields opportunity with excellent gold endowment supported by high gold occurrence density typical of major gold districts elsewhere in Australia. A Geoscience Australia study has independently confirmed the prospectivity of the area and concluded the extension of the goldfield into Romardo's ground.
Detailed airborne magnetics flown in 2017 resulted in an upgrade of targets identified for drill testing. Targets concealed beneath shallow cover have geophysical signatures of the Croydon Goldfield but considered a larger scale multi-million ounce, high grade, quartz vein-array deposit.
Romardo considers the Carron Project to have potential for a multi-million ounce gold (-silver) deposit with a repetition or variation on or extension of the Croydon Goldfield but also analogous to the 6 Moz Charters Towers goldfield.
